# Configuration

Everything is in `config.lua`; each setting has a comment in the file.

| Key                | Meaning                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `Locale`           | `en` or `tr`                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 |
| `Menu` | The tabs (map, settings, stats, photo, rules) in order, plus `resume` and `leave` on the home screen; remove one to hide it |
| `Links` | Discord and website links on the home screen (empty = hidden) |
| `Rules`            | The rules screen; each rule's title and text live in `locales/<language>.lua` under `rules.items`                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            |
| `Theme` | The default menu style (`skin`), accent, typeface, size, character camera, background blur and motion; `skinChoice` and `langChoice` let players pick the style and the language |
| `Esc` | `Mode`: `block` stops GTA's pause menu every frame (about 0.01 ms) or `replace` runs nothing per frame and swaps GTA's menu for this one as it opens; what P and pad Start open, an extra bindable key, the lock after closing |
| `Huds` | Other HUDs to hide while the menu is open (resource + export taking a boolean) |
| `Settings` | How game settings are applied: `PrivilegedWrite` (instant) and `FrontendDriver` (through GTA's settings screen); `Hide` (rows left out, for example `{ 'voice_enable', 'voice_talk_enabled' }` keeps players from turning voice chat off), `Show` (rows hidden by default on RP servers that you want back), `Defaults`, `Voice` (pma-voice) |
| `Stats` | The rows of each category, the records strip, bar caps, `HideEmpty`, the save intervals and `Skills` (growth rates, driving bonus, applying them to the game) |
| `Map` | The home mini map, the places list (group order, rows per group, folded groups), `GameNames`, `GameIcons`, `Focus`, the look per category |
| `Photo`, `CharCam` | Photo mode limits, poses and filters; the character camera's framing and blur |

## Menu styles

Signature, Classic, Vice, Tactical and Luxe. `Config.Theme.skin` is the style new players get; `Config.Theme.skinChoice = false` keeps everyone on it.

## Settings

The settings screen is GTA's own, in GTA's order: Gamepad, Keyboard / Mouse, Key Bindings, Audio, Camera, Display, Graphics, Advanced Graphics, Voice Chat, then the Pause Menu tab for the menu's own look. Changes wait until Apply.

* Most rows apply the moment Apply is clicked; Graphics and Advanced Graphics go through GTA's own settings screen behind a progress screen, and a screen mode or resolution change asks the player to keep it.
* These are the player's own GTA and FiveM settings: like GTA's menu, they apply on every server the player joins.
* Rows that do nothing on an RP server (Self Radio, submarines, story characters, GTA Online chat) are hidden; `Config.Settings.Show` brings them back.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://daddy-studios.gitbook.io/daddy-studios-docs/scripts/daddy-pausemenu/configuration.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
